Soccer.

The sport of choice in our house is soccer. We both love to watch soccer and it's the only sport that we both really enjoy watching.

Mr.P isn't really athletic, to say the least (never played sports as a kid, he was always the stay inside and play with computers kind of kid.) I was very clumsy and awkward as a kid but my parents did their best to get me and my siblings to try every sport. Basketball: I was afraid of the ball being thrown at my face. Softball: I had no hand eye coordination and could not hit the ball. Ballet: I was not graceful. Gymnastics: I got too tall, and wasn't graceful enough. Tennis: again, the hand eye coordination thing. Soccer I could do. I loved it, and I was good at it. I could run fast and the ball was on the ground most of the time (away from my face). I played soccer on and off in elementary school, and then all through junior high and high school.

I'm no stranger to playing in the rain (this is Seattle!) age 15:

Last year was the first season of the Seattle Sounders FC being in the MLS. We went to a game with a group of friends from church and had a blast. We started looking into getting season tickets and found that the prices were pretty reasonable. M2 can come with us and sit on our lap for free until she's 3, so we figured it would be a fun family activity to do. Last night was the season home opener, and it was a blast! M2 was really well behaved (she passed out against daddy's chest just after the second half started) and the Sounders won, 2-0 against Philadelphia!

Some visuals of last night (it was raining a bit, it's just hard to tell in the photos. Our seats were covered, but the wind blew some rain on us):
