An expensive week.

Wednesday morning when I pulled M2 out of her crib, she felt really warm. I took her temp, and found she had a temp of 100.1 and she was wimpering that "I don't feel good" kind of wimper. I was sad my baby girl was feeling sick, but secretly glad to call in to work and stay home with her. We got a nice little preview of what life will be like in a few weeks when we are home together all the time. We played, went shopping at Costco, hung out with my aunts, my mom, and my grandma who were having a ladies lunch, and we came home for M2 to take a nap while I did laundry and cooked dinner.

Later in the evening I was slicing some cheese and made the stupid mistake of looking up while cutting. Very bad...I sliced into my thumb, and deep too. It was bleeding like crazy! Mr.P opened up the cupboard under the kitchen sink to get the first aid kit, and he noticed there was some water under there. Upon inspecting the pipes, he touched the u-joint and it busted off. Water came gushing out into the kitchen! There were a lot of foul words used as we mopped up water and pulled out all the crap we had stored under the sink.

M2 was still seeming a bit sick today, and since I needed to be here for the plumber I kept her home with me. We stopped into my office for a little bit this afternoon, but missing nearly two days of work (and two days of pay) is going to hurt. Plus the plumbing bill, and the dental bill that came in the mail today for $400. I may have also spent $50 the other day on etsy buying some fabric and an Easter dress for M2....
