The falls.

We had a busy, but lovely and fun Sunday. We went to church in the AM, then met my BFF and her boyfriend for brunch, followed by some wine tasting. Afterwards we went out to Snoqualmie Falls because BFF's boyfriend had never been there (an out-of-state transplant). Having grown up near the falls, BFF and I have been there many many times over our 30+ years. I have many memories of visiting the falls in elementary school, with friends in high school, during the summers in college, and even in the post-college years sitting on the rocks late at night chatting with various friends or boyfriends.

Snoqulamie Falls is one of the most visited tourist locations in the state of Washington, and it is very Pacific Northwest as far as the vegetation, scenary, etc. Although it was a grey day, it was just over 50 degrees out today. Here are some pics of our day:

The Phinney Family at the base of the falls. Yes, Mr.P still has that creepy beard (grrr):

M2 probably thinking, "Oh brother, won't these people stop photographing me?"

The Falls. Mr.P is in the lower left corner, attempting to get closer in the "out of bounds" area:

Hiking back up to the car. And yes, Mr.P is a "socks and sandals" guy:
