Today has been a good day, I started it off by having a 1 hour prenatal massage. I love massages (who doesn't?) but being pregnant it feels extra nice to have my muscles rubbed. Right after my massage I saw the chiropractor who adjusted my back; my lower back/hips are completely out of wack and sore from sleeping on my side. On my way to work after my appointments, I stopped by Starbucks and got an iced latte (decaf) and a pumpkin scone.
Last week I was starting to get a little worried by the sometimes sporadic movements of M2. All my books had said that weeks 27-32 are supposed to be the most active for feeling the baby's movements. This week I have noticed that her movements have gotten stronger and more frequent. Today M2 has been giving me constant reminders that she is here with me! As she gets bigger and stronger, some of her kicks and punches actually hurt a little. Up until now most of the movements I was feeling were low, which led me to think she was in the breech position (head up, feet down). I think that sometime between yesterday and today she flipped because all day I have been feeling jabs at my ribs. I've felt her moving at least a few times per hour today (hopefully that means she'll sleep tonight and not wake me up with her kicking).
I am happy to feel her moving around, but it does make me more and more anxious for her birth and for the moment I get to first hold her. But for now it is best that she keeps baking...plus I still have a ton of things to do before she arrives. Namely 3/4 of the things I had planned to do last weekend and never got to...
I have to agree...the massage wasn't as hard as I normally would like, and having to lay on my side was not as comfortable or relaxing.
