Checking in...

I'm still here...just tired. Oh so tired. I have been lucky that I was not excessively tired much in either the first or second trimester, but it's starting to hit me hard. To the point where I have fallen asleep at my desk at work a few times. Seriously. When I get home from work I tend to fall asleep on the couch until Mr.P gets home, and I've been going to bed around midnight instead of 1 AM (I usually wake up between 8 and 9).

Oh, and at work they blocked google blogger (boooo) so I haven't been able to update while I'm at work. This is unfortunate because we're in one of the slowest months of the year for the line of work I'm in. Though with all the stuff I need to do to get my workload ready to leave behind for a little while, it doesn't feel as slow as it usually does in July.

M2 is still doing great, kicking away. It's funny now because I can tell where certain body parts are. She likes to kick my right side, and in the past few days she's been wedging one of her feet against my ribs which makes it a little hard to breath at times. This evening we could see what looked like a butt sticking up on one side of my stomach. She must be getting big because it feels very heavy to walk. It's incredible the amount of pressure I feel, I can now see why some pregnant women hold onto their abdomens when they walk! I didn't think the frequent peeing could get worse, but it has. I'll go to the bathroom, and then walking back to the couch or to my office the weight/pressure of the baby makes it feel like I still have to go.

My blood pressure is still really low, and the ute is measuring right on. Next week we'll have an ultrasound to confirm she is head down and estimate her weight, and the doctor will begin doing internal checks to see if the cervix is dilating/effacing. We're all signed up for an infant safety and CPR class in two weeks, and we have nothing really planned for August as we anticipate her arrival.

A few things we still need to do are install the car seat (and get it inspected), research/buy a breast pump, wash all the baby clothes/bedding, rearrange some furniture in our room to make room for the pack n' play, and get a mattress cover. Otherwise we're set to go and anxious to meet her!
