A funny thing has happened to me a few times this weekend. I'll be talking to somebody (sometimes someone I know who I haven't seen in a long time, a cashier in a store, or a stranger in a restroom). Here's how the conversation has gone with a few of these encounters:
Random person: "So, when is the baby due?"
Me: "The 18th."
Random person: "18th of..."
Me: "August."
Random person (eyes wide): "Oh."
I do realize that I don't look as pregnant as some women who are nearly 38 weeks. Since I'm tall and have a long torso, there has been a lot of room for my ute and the baby to grow up, rather than out. I find it funny that people are in such shock that I'm so far along. Which leads me to my next order of business....it is really starting to hit me: holy crap - in less than 3 weeks we will have a baby.
haha. I can't imagine what that feels like. If I was going to have a baby in 3 weeks I would be freaking out. (probably why I'm not having a baby in 3 weeks...:))
ReplyDeleteJealous of your long torso. Terribly jealous. At 30 weeks people were telling me I must be due any day now. If I had a dollar for every time somebody called me HUGE... :)
