Testing out the gear.

The car seat arrived today! Even though it was a hassle (and we lost some money) sending back the other car seat, I am so glad we decided to go with this one, the Chicco Keyfit 30. We wanted to take it for a test drive in the stroller frame we bought a few weeks back on our Babies R Us outing. Realizing we would look strange (and creepy) pushing an empty stroller around the neighborhood, I strapped Duncan the sock monkey into the car seat and covered him with a blanket. Best to look like we're just out pushing a sleeping baby, right?

I really like the simplicity of the stroller frame, and the car seat fit great in it. Mr.P was concerned with the suspension on the stroller, he felt that with all the bumps and potholes on our lovely city sidewalks, the stroller may be too jarring for M2 to ride in. I think that it didn't seem any different than any other stroller would be, so I am fine with keeping it. Besides, I anticipate we'll mostly be pushing her in it around the lake where there is a smooth path, or around the mall.
I should also add that Mr.P thought it would be good to let go of the stroller at the top of our hill to see how much speed it would pick up...hopefully none of our neighbors saw this!
