Just one.

Today was the big day! It's so strange to call the OB's office shortly after having a positive pregnancy test, and being given an appointment 6-7 weeks out. It felt like an eternity. Finally the day came! I was pretty busy this morning, but by the time I got to my appointment I was feeling really nervous.

The nurse took my blood pressure and she was like, "110/70, that is excellent!" That was actually a little high for me...as a runner, my BP tends to be around 100/60 typically. They ran through all the paperwork, the dos, don'ts, etc....even though this is the third time around they are required to go through this stuff.

Finally, the doctor came in with her little ultrasound cart. A few minutes later I was looking at the little dancing gummi bear blob on the screen. One baby! A strong heartbeat! Measuring exactly on track at 9 weeks, 4 days! Due date is October 17, 2014.

What a relief. That feeling like I've been half holding my breath for weeks has now been let out and I feel a lot less anxious and worried. Next week I go in for a blood draw to do the genetic screening, and in 3 weeks I go in for another ultrasound.
