P5 is here! He arrived on Thursday, December 16th at 6:27 PM. A big boy too - weighing in at 8 lbs, 10 oz and 21 inches long. His birth went really well and despite ending up having another natural birth, the labor went really quick and was much less scary than M2's birth. I'll post the birth story soon...hopefully later this week while it's still fresh in my mind.
He looks a lot like M2, but with much less hair. He's a good eater and so far breastfeeding is going way better than I expected. I feel confident that I'll be able to breastfeed him without having to rely on the pump/bottle, so that is a huge relief. He is a pretty mellow baby, sleeping really well all day...but not so well at night. I'm coping though, and I know that it will get easier. We just need to reverse his night and day schedule and we'll be golden.
The hospital we went through this time was so much better than before. We had a great experience, a great medical team and we had a couple awesome friends for labor support. One really nice feature this hospital had was a professional photographer that came around and took a little photo shoot in our room. I really wish we had been able to have that at the hospital where M2 was born, but oh well. Here are a couple pics of the little guy from the photo shoot:
I can't even handle how cute that second picture is - what a cool service for the hospital to offer. I'm so glad that everything went well (for the most part) and that you had a better experience the second time around. Congrats again, he's just so perfect! xo
