Nothing screams Dutch like tulips! (Well, maybe clogs and windmills scream Dutch a little more, but work with me here, people). As previously mentioned, Mr.P's family is originally from Holland (he's actually a citizen) and M2 being his offspring is 50% Dutch.
BFF and I had been planning on doing a little photo shoot of M2 to get a good shot of her to include with her baptism invitations. We decided to use the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival as the backdrop for the photo shoot. Since the weather has been a little iffy, we brought along M2's antique rocking chair. The rocking chair was my mother's when she was a girl, and it's been passed around to several family members, now back in our hands. The little sweater M2 is wearing was knitted by Mr.P's Oma (that's Dutch for Grandma). There were so many cute pics to choose from! BFF did an awesome job photographing M2 (while I stood by to spot her on the many times she attempted to fling herself out of the chair).
