Still around....

I've been a terrible blogger...actually, an absent blogger. I guess I needed a break and in my reprioritizing I had to cut some things and for me, blogging was one of them. I realized I couldn't do it all and that I was sacrificing sleep to get things done. I still do occassionally sacrifice sleep, but for the most part I have tried to make it a priority to get 8 hours of sleep per night (not necessarily 8 straight hours...unfortunately due to potty training and the kids sharing a room I am often woken up at least once per night). I find that getting sleep is a necessary base for me to be patient, and with two toddlers I need all the patience I can get!

My focus these past 6 months have been my family and my health. I continued on with Weight Watchers and with working out...and a few weeks ago I hit my goal weight. I lost 80 lbs and I feel great. I enjoy working out and I feel good in my skin. I think I look and feel the best I ever have.

Here is a picture from the day I hit my WW goal and got 7 inches of hair chopped off:

I can't promise I will blog often, but I will try to make more frequent updates. The other day I was reading some of my old posts like a diary and I realized I like having those stories in writing to reflect back on.

  1. First of all - you look amazing! I'm 1.6 lbs away from being in the healthy BMI range for the first time since high school (29.4 lbs lost on WW so far... 1.6 lbs until my initial WW goal, but about 10-15 lbs to go until I think I'm "done") and I can't wait. It's a huge accomplishment and you should be so proud of yourself.

It was good to see your post pop up in my Google Reader, glad to know you're still "here" :)
